Training

Start early with your training especially if you are a beginner like moi. People start at all levels of fitness from avid athlete to weekend warrior to reformed couch potato. You need to assess where you are on that continum, identify which of the three events is going to be most problematic and pick training programs that focus on that area.  A good program will include cardiovascular training and strength training as well as stretching and of course nutrition.  When starting be sure to get enough rest it is easy to overtrain when caught up in the moment and with your enthusiam is at an all time high.  Don't over do, pace youself.  You should enjoy the training! The point of doing this for me was to get in shape and accomplish a goal.  I am not saying it won't or should not be challenging, but own the training don't let it own you. If you are trying to fit it into an already busy schedule and stressing over the time on the bike or run or in the pool back it down you will get there eventually.
