Running

This being the last leg of a triathlon when you are already close to empty on energy is a challenge.  Again, it comes down to practicing to build the necessary endurance.  I started out with short distances to build  my confidence, a pair of good running shoes, and my favorite music on an ipod. Keep in mind, however that during a race your ipod or any other similar device is strictly prohibited. there are a multitude of beginner running programs for free out there.
